About pergolas and gazebos
A pergola gives a deck or patio partial shade and a frame for the space underneath. We design it for the space it stands in: its size, its shape and the material.
A gazebo adds a roof: a focal point in the yard, and protection from the sun and the rain. It needs a level, well-drained spot, which we check at the site visit.

Do you design the deck too?
Yes. Tell us how you want to use your backyard and we’ll design the deck, fence, pergola or gazebo around it, with you. We work with your vision, budget and timeline.
Do I need a permit to build a deck?
Often, yes. Requirements vary with the height, size and placement of the deck. We help you understand the permit process, and we build to code.
How much does a deck cost?
It depends on the square footage, the material, how high the deck is, the stairs and the railing style. Our estimates are free, with straightforward, itemized pricing.
